  Edgeworks First Ever Summer Comp!!!
An endurance comp. How many climbs can you do in 3 hours?
 
 

Climb as many climbs as possible in 3 hours! Amass as many points as you can. No limit on how many times you can do the same climb!

 
  Entry Fee: $10

Time: 6-9pm
Registration: 5:30pm
Rules: 5:45pm

  Edgeworks Climbing will will host a USA Climbing Level 1 route setting clinic. The clinic is taught by 12 time national setter Molly Beard and professional route setter trainer Mike Helt.  
 

If you’re a route setter that wants to take your career to the next level than this course is for you. USAC Level 1 certification route setting clinic will be an introduction to commercial and basic competition route setting.

 
  It will certify a participant to set at the ABS and SCS local levels and will establish proficient knowledge of the trade for beginner to advanced route setters interested in professional development and the potential for advancement in commercial and competition setting.
 
  Interested setters can sign up on the USAC website by downloading the application form. The cost of the clinic is a mere $100 for the two-day course. The clinic fee covers the mandatory USAC membership fee and the cost of the clinic. For more information please direct all questions to Mike Moelter at mike@usaclimbing.org.

Whether you're looking for a camp to introduce your children to the sport of rock climbing or you're looking for a fun outing for the whole family, Edgeworks' summer camps are a fun and safe way to enjoy the sport of rock climbing this summer!

  Edgeworks has hard at work setting routes for you! In the last month we have set over 60 new routes and we're not done! There are over 30 new roped routes and 30 new boulder routes! Come try out the new routes!  
  Here's a sample of some of the best routes in the gym:
Rope 36: 5.5 Palms ONLY, you can do it without hands
  Easy with hands, hard if climbed without hands!
Rope 15: 5.9 I Dream of 5.9
  Fun overhang and a king swing!
Rope 31: 5.10+ Ain't No Thing

Rope 37: 5.11+ Don't sweat the small stuff
  Practice your HARD slab climbing!

  New Grading Scheme:
Edgeworks has a new grading scheme for our roped routes. We've done away with the "a" "b" "c" "d" grades and are now using "-" "blank" "+". It's now easier than ever to find a route to climb!
Examples: Grade was: Grade is now:
  5.10a or 5.10b 5.10-
  5.10b or 5.10c 5.10
  5.10c or 5.10d 5.10+
 

Team Building Events at Edgeworks  
  Edgeworks Climbing hosts team building events for companies and groups that build confidence, trust and respect among peers. We use classic team building exercises combined with climbing specific activities to produce a truly memorable event. Our programs are a fun and exciting way to build a group that pulls together to get those tough projects completed.

  Adult Training Team
  Whether you are a total novice or an experienced climber, if you are looking to take your climbing to the next level, the adult team is for you. Taught by our professional coaching staff, this training group meets twice a week for a 2 hour session designed to amp up your climbing. Course focuses on fundamental climbing skills and targeted training to eliminate your climbing 'weaknesses'.

  Check out our new Gym Info Board near the water fountain. Use a Route Comment Card to help us fine tune our new Routesetting System. Find a climbing partner for the day. Read the Routesetter Responses.

  July Junior Program $5 Special
During the last week of the month, we are offering a special benefit to participants of our monthly programs:   Bring a friend to climb with you during that program for only $5.

  High School Student Specials
Bring your friends for a night of climbing. $10 gets you in with full gear rental.
July 11th 6:30-8:30pm - Student of Gig Harbor and Penninsula High Schools.
For dates and times for your high school ask at the front desk.
 
  Women's Night - 5-10pm, Friday, July 6th
Ladies - Come on in and climb, after 5pm at a discounted rate. Meet lots of new friends and climb hard with old friends. $9 Day Pass. First Friday of each month.
 
 
  College Night - 5-10pm, Friday, July 13th
Seeking a higher education? Let off some steam and join other students for an evening of climbing at a discounted rate. Day passes are $9 with a valid Washington State College ID.
Second Friday of each month.
 
  Family Night - 5-10pm, Friday, July 20th
Bring the whole family and meet other climbing families! First adult family member pays full price ($15 day pass), additional family members pay $5.
